On the 7th July 2022, members of our Specialised Response Unit received an alert of a hijacking that occurred in the Ntuzuma area, a silver Toyota Hilux was hijacked by armed suspects.
Our members received information that the vehicle had been travelling on the N2 towards the Durban Central area.
With the swift mobilisation of our SRU team we immediately liaised with members at Cartrack and we managed to locate the vehicle in Dr Pixley KaSeme Street, Durban Central.
We successfully recovered the vehicle, the suspects managed to evade into the crowd.
The crime scene was handed over to Cartrack.
