On the 21/11/2022 at approximately 12:00pm Pro Secure SRU members received information of a rape incident that occured in the Chatsworth area.
Contact was made with the victim and a full description of the suspect was given, Pro Secure control room immediately activated all units within the Chatsworth area and a search for the suspect was in pursuit.
The suspect was spotted in the Shallcross area, as he was approached he attempted to escape, the members gave chase and he was successfully apprehended.
With the assistance of SAPS Chatsworth Trio Crimes Unit, it was established that the suspect is a wanted serial rapist in the area and currently linked to 3 rape cases.
We applaud our members for their quick and effective response which resulted in the successful arrest.
