Another hijacked vehicle recovered!
At approximately 15:30 on the 05/01/2023, our Specialized Response Units were alerted by members of Cartrack of a white Volkswagen Polo that was hijacked by armed assailants in the Umbilo area, the vehicle is fitted with a Cartrack tracking unit.
The vehicle was tracked in the vicinity of the Bayview, Chatsworth area and was heading towards Havenside, Chatsworth.
Our units mobilized in this direction. With the assistance of Cartrack they have managed to recover the vehicle on Riveria Road, Havenside.
The suspects had fled the scene before our units could intercept.
The vehicle was safely handed over to members of SAPS, Cartrack, and Metro Police.
