As the ProCares campaign draws to a close, the team was filled with mixed emotions when they visited the Baby Home, in Durban North.
The Baby Home is a safe haven for abandoned babies that are brought in via the social welfare system. At present the kids range from 3 months to 6 years old.
“We are happy and grateful that we were able to support the home, but really sad when we learnt the plight of the kids, ” said Vaughan Pillay, MD at Pro Secure.
“The house mums and assistants are doing a sterling job in raising these kids, and we are definitely going to support the home on other initiatives, ” said Pillay.
The ProCares campaign was launched in July, aligning to the spirit of giving back on Nelson Mandela Day. We are happy to report that the initiative was a resounding success and we look forward to supporting the communities that we serve in the future.
